Welcome to the digital on-line version of the July/August 2009 edition of Flatpicking Guitar Magazine. This edition is Volume 13, Number 5 of the magazine and features two-time National Flatpicking Guitar Champion Gary Cook on the cover. Gary, who has been performing at cowboy and Western music at the Bar-D Chuckwagon for 20 years, provides us with a fantastic arrangement of "Grandfather's Clock." Additionally, we feature an outstanding young picker from West Virginia, Adam Hager. Adam has recorded and transcribed two versions of the fiddle tune "Whistling Rufus." We also feature a very talented female artists from the United Kingdom, Sophia Johnson.
